• The Iris collects vehicle data, such as the geographic position from the internal GPS and the status of programmed events, producing messages in packet form and transmits them via satellite.
  
  
• The Iris message packet is recieved by the closest satellite and relayed to the base station on the ground closest to the vehicle.
  
  
• At the base station the message is received, decoded and relayed to the Irisat control center via the Internet.
  
  
• At the Irisat control center, messages are received / transmitted, processed, stored and visualized on the Irisat web site. From this web site clients can easily interact with their vehicles, monitoring, tracking, as well as sending and receiving messages and commands.
